New developments in the French treatment of foreign trusts. As a follow up to our previous note on the new French law on foreign trusts dated November 14, 2011, we would like to draw your attention to some developments in the interpretation and application of the provisions of article 14 of the French Amending Finance Act for 2011.

Hervé Laigo retired from the Firm on December 31, 2011. We wish Hervé and his wife a long and happy retirement. The labour and employment team has been strengthened by the arrival of Jérôme Scapoli since December 1 ; Jérôme j.scapoli@parislaw.tm.fr has a wide experience in both international and national employment and social security matters. Guilia Merenda, a member of the Paris Bar with both French and Italian legal qualifications joined the firm at the beginning of 2012 . A Turkish lawyer , Ebru Ay Chelli, who holds a doctorate from the Paris University I, Paris-Panthéon, also started as a trainee at the same time.
